about

You can hear more music from Beloved the Ghostwriter at www.belovedtheghostwriter.com and follow him on twitter @gwbeloved. Here is what his song "Shine Forth" is all about:

The title of my song 'Shine Forth' was inspired by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Youth theme for 2012 encouraging us all to lead by example and bear our testimonies through word and deed despite life circumstances or social situations that would otherwise silence us. Each verse is dedicated to a special brother in my life that has helped me to continue on personally in this endeavor. The first is Dalyn Montgomery. He has been such a great blessing in my life, being a great example in fatherhood and brotherhood and the most avid supporter of my rap career. Among his many talents as a writer, artist, etc., he is an amateur boxer, hence the analogy of personal struggle as an imperfect disciple of Christ to a fighter in a match. The second is dedicated to my best friend of 31 years, David "Max-C" Wilson. He has been there for me through thick and thin, always having my back, and I having his. We a family in a true sense of the word. We share a musical philosophy that bonds us beyond our familiarity. We both believe in making music that moves you and drives home a message, in utilizing our talents, I as a rapper, he as a producer, in the way God intended, for good, but always maintaining high quality to ensure its integrity. The third is dedicated to my brother from the same mother Christopher "King Dotcom" Holland. I've always looked up to my brother though he is younger than I for his self-confidence, loving heart, and willing hands. So many people love him because he is genuine. His talents are diverse and superb, centering in the hip hop realm. The analogy of a prince who became a king in this third verse is derived from his rap name. It personifies the hope we all have of becoming the perfect version of who we are. All three verses place the listener in the shoes of someone who is fighting for their souls with undeserved, yet desperately needed help from the very best friend I have, Jesus Christ. My soul cries for everyone to realize exactly what I have, which I sing throughout the chorus of 'Shine Forth', which is that that if we humble ourselves and seek His divine assistance, we can overcome anything. ~Beloved the Ghostwriter
